According to initial reports, a car rammed into a group of pedestrians, leaving one is in serious condition and two others with moderate wounds. The driver then continued to drive hitting a number of cars and then stopped, exited the car holding a metal bar and proceeded to attack additional pedestrians. Border Patrol forces then shot and killed him.

JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Unidentified assailants kidnapped a 16-year-old Palestinian, Amir Majdi Ramadan, from Beit Hanina while he was heading to his school on a motorcycle Tuesday.

Ramadan's father said that according to what his son told him and reported to the police, while he was on his motorcycle going to school Tuesday morning he was hit by a car from behind, three unidentified assailants beat him with a gun on his head and placed him in the trunk of their vehicle.

The boy's father added that he did not know of the incident until he received a call from Amir's school telling him his son did not arrive.

He attempted to call his son several times before he received a call from a friend telling him his son was found lying in a neighborhood in Beit Hanina, and that a local took him to the main street and called an ambulance.

Latest Update: 11.05.14,

A van rammed into a group of pedestrians waiting for Jerusalem's Light Rail, killing one person and wounding a number of others, in what seems to be an additional terror attack on Wednesday. The suspected terrorist was identified as a Hamas operative from East Jerusalem.

Hamas has taken responsibility for Wednesday's deadly terror attack and spokesman Mushir al-Masri praised the terrorist, saying that that it was an act of revenge “for al-Aqsa and for the blood of those who guard Al-Aqsa.”

Hamas official Fawzi Barhoum also lauded the attack and called for more violence. "We praise this heroic operation," he said, adding that "We call for more such ... operations."

JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Hamas on Wednesday claimed responsibility for a Jerusalem car attack that killed one Israeli border policeman and injured 14 others earlier in the day.

Hamas said in a statement that Ibrahim al-Akkari, the alleged attacker, took "revenge for his people," for the al-Aqsa mosque, and for Jerusalem through the attack.

The military wing of Hamas, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, meanwhile said on Wednesday following the attack that "al-Aqsa is the detonator that will cause a volcano to erupt in Israel's face."

Spokesman for the brigades Abu Ubaida hailed the "heroes of Jerusalem and Hamas fighters" who defend the Al-Aqsa Mosque with their souls and blood.

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- A Palestinian man suspected of having run over three Israeli soldiers on Wednesday evening turned himself in to "security forces," the Israeli military said in a statement on Thursday.

Earlier, Israeli forces had carried out raids across the southern West Bank to find the man, who had been identified as Hammam Masalma.

Four of Masalma's relatives were detained from the southern West Bank town of Beit Awwa early Thursday, after Israeli forces raided the area and found no sign of Hammam.

Palestinian security sources said Israeli troops erected several military checkpoints around Beit Awwa west of Hebron before ransacking the home of Hammam Masalma, who they believed deliberately attacked the soldiers.
