Three Israeli soldiers were injured when a Palestinian vehicle rammed into them on a West Bank road Wednesday evening in what appeared to be the days second vehicular terror attack.
One soldier was in serious condition and two suffered moderate injuries, officials said. The soldiers were evacuated to hospitals in Jerusalem for treatment, and a hospital official said there was no immediate threat to their lives.
A Palestinian vehicle hit the soldiers, who were standing by the side of Route 60 near the Palestinian refugee camp of al-Aroub, south of Jerusalem, a police spokesperson said.
In a graphic video posted online which appeared to show the incident, the three soldiers are clearly visible on the side of the road as traffic passed. The white van approached from the left-hand side and, without slowing, plowed into the soldiers and drove off.

A senior security source said one of the directions being examined is that the incident was a hit and run accident, and that the suspects did not intend to strike the soldiers.
A senior Israeli security source said Thursday that the IDF was examining the possibility that what has been referred to as a ramming terror attack that wounded three soldiers on Wednesday night in the West Bank, may have in fact been a hit-and-run accident.
The first suspect, believed to be an abettor of the driver of the vehicle who hit the soldiers, was arrested by the Combat Engineering Corps' 603rd Battalion in Bet Awa, in the South Mount Hebron region on Wednesday night soon after the incident.

(45,850 posts)A Palestinian man suspected of having run over three Israeli soldiers on Wednesday evening turned himself in to "security forces," the Israeli military said in a statement on Thursday.
Earlier, Israeli forces had carried out raids across the southern West Bank to find the man, who had been identified as Hammam Masalma.
Four of Masalma's relatives were detained from the southern West Bank town of Beit Awwa early Thursday, after Israeli forces raided the area and found no sign of Hammam.
Palestinian security sources said Israeli troops erected several military checkpoints around Beit Awwa west of Hebron before ransacking the home of Hammam Masalma, who they believed deliberately attacked the soldiers.
Masalma, however, was not at home at the time of the raid. As a result, Israeli troops decided to detain his relatives Muhammad Jamal Shalash Masalma, Subhi Shalash Masalma, Issa Khalil Masalma, and Ismail Subhi Masalma instead.

BTselem extends its condolences to the family of the man killed in the car attack earlier today (5 November 2014) in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarah. We send our wishes for a speedy recovery to the individuals injured in the attack. BTselem condemns any and all intentional assaults targeting Israeli and Palestinian civilians and reiterates its call to politicians and leaders to act responsibly and avoid fanning the flames of violence.
We are therefore extremely disturbed by the statement by Israels Minister of Public Security that a terrorist who harms civilians is a dead man. This provocative call by a government minister to break the law and for execution without trial deserves the strongest possible censure, all the more so for being made by the minister responsible for law enforcement. The prime minister would do well to address the Minister of Public Security, law enforcement authorities and the public, and make plain the blatant disregard of the law embodied in the ministers statement.
