*Say/do anything to keep the boogeyman Iran alive.. coming directly from war hawks of the
alleged peaceful/reasonable side of Israeli politics...what a farce.

Zionist Union co-leaders Isaac Herzog and Tzipi Livni on Sunday presented their "alternative plan of action" on how Israel should deal with the P5+1 group of world powers framework nuclear deal with Iran signed earlier this month.
The party suggested that Israel should seek an understanding from the US that, should Iran violate the nuclear deal and threaten Israel's existence, the Jewish state would be authorized to take military action to protect itself.
The party said that some of the parameters presented by the West and the Iranians are "problematic," and they hold within them "real potential dangers for the long term" that must be fixed in the comprehensive agreement to be signed by June 30.

The Israeli "moderates" are just one or two degrees from Netanyahu crazy.

(39,961 posts)I am as happy as can be that Israel has their own state, acknowledge it as a Jewish state, but when they attempt to command my country like a hound, enlist Senators to do so, and insult our President before Congress, well, I'm not sure Israelis like Netanyahu understand the damage they have done.
Tzipi Livni is a far better negotiator because she has a strong political education and isn't sucked into the "bomb way or the high way".
You build a nation by growing it, caring for it, building infrastructure and realizing that prosperity is people working together. Peace doesn't happen when you only talk to your allies - peace happens when you sit down at the table and talk to your enemies.
I have no idea why some do not get this concept.
