2. Smedley Butler testifies in Congress about fascist (his word) plot to overthrow FDR

The Business Plot - organized by Wall Street bankers, was an attempt to overthrow President Roosevelt in the 1930s because he dared to stand up to them.

One of those they attempted to recruit to lead the coup was two-time Medal of Honor winner General Smedley Butler,
one of the most popular and well-known military heroes of his day. The bankers failed in 1933 in their mission to depose of the FDR government, as General Butler refused to go along with it. But they were successful 30 years later when another president named JFK dared to stand up to them (by blowing his brains out).

Doug Horn was Chief Analyst for Military Records for the Assassination Records Review Board (ARRB) and has authored a 5 volume series:
