Suspected ‘Cannibal Killer’ Gay Porn Actor Luka Magnotta Now Linked to Unsolved Miami Murder

As Canadian gay porn actor Luka Rocco Magnotta sits in custody in Germany suspected of murdering, chopping up, and cannibalizing his Chinese boyfriend, more clues about who he was are surfacing.

The latest pieces of the puzzle, two posts by Magnotta on the travel website MiamiBeach411 could link him to a 2009 unsolved local murder, a Miami police detective told Canada’s CBC News.

"If Mr. Rocco was in Miami at the time of my murder then yeah, I'll be definitely looking at him," Sgt. Confessor Gonzalez told CBC News.

In the case that Gonzalez's is investigating, the victim was a 21-year-old Guatemalan named Osben Laparra, who was last seen leaving a Calle Ocho nightclub on May 30, 2009. Three days later, Laparra's body parts started washing up in Biscayne Bay, all separately bagged in plastic, Miami New Times reported at the time.

Update (6/6/12 3:31 A.M.): A group of activists affiliated with the organization Last Chance For Animals has taken responsibility for creating the HollywoodLoveLetters account on YouTube. They claim it was part of an “investigation” into Mr. Magnotta.

... In addition to Mr. Magnotta’s family photos, the YouTube videos posted by LCA also featured pictures of the Hollywood sign, references to the Satanic Bible and a description calling Mr. Magnotta “the sexiest serial killer ever to walk the earth.”

On Monday, a police detective in Montreal told us they planned to communicate with the LAPD to discuss the possibility Mr. Magnotta was involved in that case. At the time, we noted, “it’s impossible to say for sure whether the HollywoodLoveLetters account belongs to Mr. Magnotta and whether he actually had anything to do with the Hollywood Sign killing. The only thing that’s certain is that someone out there is going to great lengths to associate him with it.”

Apparently, that someone was the LCA.

We were made aware of the LCA’s press release after receiving an email from an anonymous member of the organization. We asked them whether they were concerned about potentially wasting the time and energy of law enforcement officials who were looking into the videos and why they chose to reference the Hollywood sign killing in their postings.

“I’m really sorry, but I will need to clear any further comments with LCA’s president,” they said.

The main Animal Rights groups who have been working on this for 2 years are furious.


They've also been caught photoshopping his pictures on some of the accounts where they were pretending to be him.

I've been following this for over a year and wager that at least half of the accounts pretending to be Luka Magnotta, weren't. The people who pulled those dishonest impersonations have super complicated the case imo.

7. He's back in Canada and was arraigned today by videoconference. Plead not guilty

He plead "not guilty" to all five charges.

He's also very doped up. I don't know what kind of meds they're giving him but he has a history of needing atypical antipsychotics, specifically Risperidal after a childhood of alleged sexual abuse. So much so, that he was taunted by the neighborhood and called "the Schizo". At the age of 16, he admitted to his family that he was bisexual and they threw him out. There aren't many details about that but in 2005 he was ordered by the court to stay on his medication. In 2010, judging by the things he personally wrote and his psychological disintegration on the internet, I think that's when he went off them.

There's something very strange about this whole case and strange about the extraordinary security measures the Canadian Police is taking. He was totally medicated when he came off the flight yesterday and in court today. He could barely walk yesterday. My theory is that some of his "clients" don't need him talking but it's a shaky theory. Who knows.

His lawyer is considering requesting a psychiatric evaluation on Thursday but who know about that too because he's barely had time to meet with his client, if he's even met with him at all yet.
