The Buckeye: Ohio's Bisexual State Tree

An Ohio man is calling for the removal of the Buckeye tree as his state's symbol because the tree bears flowers with both male and female organs. With any luck, the letter was a sarcastic joke.

A reader wrote to the Findlay Courier that the Ohio Buckeye, also known as the Aesculus glabra, is "shameful and unacceptable" and that a bisexual tree should not represent the state of Ohio.

All in unison now.

And got a response that Findley is a cesspool of ignorance, so the letter is probably real. Incredible.
