Dear lawhammercy, kids, I think I'm finally back

I've got a new deliciously fast, reliable internet provider and a spanky-fresh install of Fedora 17 to enjoy it with. My machine and connection are running like a stripèd-ass ape. My satellite is giving me a steady 18.4Mbps download speed with no interruptions. At all. Wholly unlike that crappy DSL I had (promised 1.5, gave around .75 at best when it was alive)... and for $10 less a month.

You know how a queen loves a bahhgain.

I've missed you all terribly. It's good to be back.

TBH, I've had a pretty annoying DSL problem myself, although wired connections seem to work fine for the most part.....I dunno; my Toshiba IS 3 years old after all.

Have a nice day.

Iraq and Afghanistan. Nothing like the old Hughes or WildBlue. They're wearing the WildBlue name but it's totally new technology. Rock solid. I haven't had one drop-out yet. Solid 18.4 megabits. Beats the living shit out of any provider I've ever had. They're nice, knowledgeable, easy to work with. I can't say enough good about them.

Disclaimer: I've been working with ISPs for a long, long time. These folks are some of the classiest yet.

I'm surprised they haven't hauled me off to Gitmo, or a Lower Alabama trailer park, or someplace equally dreadful, wherever it is they store the terminally fashion-impaired. I live in dread fear someone is going to come and take my Homosexual Union Membership card away. If it weren't for gimme-hats, T-shirts, jeans, and work boots, I'd have no wardrobe at all.

". . . running like a striped-ass ape." LOL. I still use "Oh, it burned my ass clear up to the shoulder blades," in conversation. I picked it up from one of your posts several years ago.
