.... WHATEVER. I don't even KNOW what the rationale for the objections to this are. Something "BA-A-A-AAD" will happen.

Result: Public school kids will be less ignorant than they are currently. ( And probably more open minded, less abusive and more civilized.)

Not that I ever thought that DADT hurt the military. The majority of the guys who serve are what I would call younger guys who are more likely to be open minded to things like gay rights. It seemed to me the people who were the opposed to repealing DADT were older veterans who weren't even in the military anymore.

I think one of the guys that we credit with training our military during the revolutionary war was openly gay - Von Steuben. I think he was George Washington's chief of staff during the revolutionary war.

It's kind of fitting that we owe a lot of the success of our revolution to a gay man - someone whose service a republican would openly shun.
