NFL Players Association sells gay pride shirts for Athlete Ally

I want!!!

The National Football League Players Association is selling T-shirts via its online store with a gay pride theme, with proceeds going to Athlete Ally, a group fighting homophobia in sports.

The One Team Pride Shirts are available with the jersey number and name of the following current or former players: Brendon Ayanbadejo, Connor Barwin, Scott Fujita, Steve Gleason, Chris Gocong, Chris Kluwe, Donte' Stallworth, Terrell Suggs and Eric Winston. Alas, no player No. 69 is part of the group. The shirts cost $24.99.

NFL players lending use of their names for shirts adorned with rainbow colors is something that was hard to imagine a few short years ago.

anit-bullying, and pride in who we are. These are amazing times we live in, and only 10 years ago, no state in the USA allowed gay marriages, and now there are what, 10?

I never would have predicted such a fast change for the good in our nation's culture, not in all my many years.

Sometimes, we just have to take a deep breath, and realize that, even tho the battles are far from being over, we are certainly seeing the nation and the world change right before our eyes.

NFL: a great ally to have in our struggle toward full equality.
