Intolerance: Nuclear Weapons to Stop the Gays
By Dr. Brian CarrIt is expected that people’s choices will fall along a Normal Curve of action. Extremists have to exist in order to balance out the spectrum of action. The problem is when these extremists gain control and are able to initiate action that is destructive.
One example of this can be found in those who are fascinated by military force and appear committed to the use of such extreme power as nuclear weapons. These extremists find delight as they figuratively grasp the shaft of a nuclear tipped cruise missile and consider the possible targets. Death and destructive are mere points on a map as they deploy what they perceive as the Teddy Roosevelt “big stick” diplomacy.
What happens when this desire for heavy handedness is merged into action? Witness the recent passage in the Russian parliament of a bill that imposes fines and jail terms against any who engage in “propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations”. A second bill passed by the Russian State Duma makes offending religious feelings a crime punishable by up to three years in prison.
