San Antonio councilwoman caught on tape making anti-gay rant

A San Antonio councilwoman is facing criticism and condemnation among some of her constituents today after a former aide leaked an audio recording of the councilwoman going on an anti-gay rant during a staff meeting.

District 9 Councilwoman Elisa Chan called homosexuality "So disgusting!," and expressed that she believed homosexuality was a choice and that gay people should not be allowed to adopt children.

"By the way, this is politically incorrect," she tells her aides. "I don't think homosexual people should do adoption. They should be banned by adoption. You're going to confuse those kids. They should be banned.

"If you wanted to choose that lifestyle, we don't want to discriminate you, but you shouldn't affect the young people," she continues. "How terrible. ... They're going to be confused. You see two men go into a bedroom. You see two women kissing. Is that not confusing? It's confusing.

Yes, I'm sure that Ms. Chan will feel much more comfortable and way less confused if she congregated with the rest of the homophobes. I wonder if the reason for her concern is that her significant other might start shopping around due to her fading looks?

READ A FREAKING BIOLOGY BOOK!!!

Homosexuality is not a choice and no one is going to be confusing kids.

And yes, being a bigot is politically incorrect.

(aside) When a young child, I was a bit confused when I saw my mother and father go into their bedroom. Then I shrugged and took the opportunity to raid the refrigerator.
