Everyone deserves hugs right now.

There's so much bravery in mayhem right now. One here wanted to quit DU, there should be none of that. All our brothers and sisters here should know that there's many who have your back. And sometimes, all you really need to do is ask for help as well.

by avoiding GD. You folks here are helping the rest of us get through it.

ETA: GODDAMN AUTOCORRECT changed "GD" to "DU" and I didn't catch it until now.

happen) is there some way we, as in the public, could finance those hormone drugs she requires? I'm serious, this would make her happy while confined, she will need time for all of this to evolve, etc. How could the PTB object? I have no idea how to go about this but I'm certain a fund could be set up with Leavenworth to obtain and administer said drugs. Just a thought.

Seeing that the jury system is a joke, and I have a zero percent chance of serving on the jury, I might as well tell them what I really think.

Guess who the one was for hiding it. New poster, 18 posts, doesn't see the outrage about calling Manning whatsoever someone likes ... Glory days on DU.

....and his offense, if any, was far less severe:

Not only that, but his statement was quite true, too. Gotta wonder if that was the real reason for the hide of MjolnirTime's post and not the supposed "trolling".....DU can be quite strange sometimes.

The routine and repetitions are allowing to reshape myself and address certain issues that have developed over many years (I am a newcomer, and have not practiced for long).

I like to call it boot-camp yoga because it has a Cardio element to it. I started last October, then got hit by a mini-van on March 25th and I'm recovered back to where I'm in yoga again. My hip still hurts, but it hasn't even been a year. I can't do pigeon, that hurts it.

I'm excited now because I have a bigger mat than I used to. The standard size is too small since I'm tall.

I started yoga about 3 years ago when several doctors told me I had to have knee surgery ASAP. My exercise options were limited: power walking / hiking were out, swimming not available locally, biking not really an option (one narrow road) so I tried it (always wanted to anyway).

Haven't had the surgery yet, no pain, better mobility...and many emotional benefits, spiritual growth, happiness...why did I waste so much of my time?

I see you.

ETA: Ashtanga is what my former teacher called "Flow." I always hated those classes because we never stopped--one pose to the next to the next...for an hour. Gah. But now that I do it all the time (everyday at home when I don't have class) I love it, and it is very good for cardio as well as strength.

We flow and we slow down eventually for dancers, tree, pigeon and whatever else. Otherwise we vinyasa like crazy. Lots of Warriors too.

I'm happy when people find so many health benefits from it. I know a guy whose knee or hip popped back into place from YEARS of it being out of place. It's a wonderful thing to see.
