Transgender Pakistanis Celebrate Newfound Voting Rights

It's been two months since transgender Pakistanis were granted voting rights, and joyful celebrations continue as many register to vote for the first time in their lives.

The nation's high court ruled last spring that transgender individuals deserve the right to vote; implementation of the change came this fall. Transgender people in the nation, often called eunuchs, are now able to easier obtain national identification cards thanks to the court ruling.
