Vicky Beeching spent years thinking of homosexuality as a sin—even trying an exorcism to rid herself of her attractions toward women. But after a debilitating illness, Beeching has decided to come out to her family and to her fans. She hopes to be a voice for LGBT Christians who are struggling with their faith.

For 35 years, a British rock star successfully hid her sexuality from her parents, her church, and the thousands of Christians who sang her songs. She tried Catholic confessions and exorcisms. She tried losing herself in her work, hiding this vital piece of herself until she became physically sick.
It was torture.
Now, Christian musician Vicky Beeching wants her fans to know the truth about who she really is—and perhaps, inspire some to reexamine their convictions.
“I’m gay,” the songstress said. “What Jesus taught was a radical message of welcome and inclusion and love. I feel certain God loves me just the way I am.”....
