Related: About this forumMaggie Gallagher: Rick Santorum's Opposition To Gay Marriage Helps Campaign
http://www.ontopmag.com/article.aspx?id=11010&MediaType=1&Category=26#Maggie Gallagher has said that Rick Santorum's opposition to gay marriage is helping his presidential campaign.
Gallagher, the founder of the National Organization for Marriage (NOM), the nation's most vociferous opponent of gay marriage, discussed Santorum's recent rise in the polls as it relates to the issue of gay marriage during an Al Jazeera segment which also included Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) Michael Cole-Schwartz and the Pew Research Center's David Masci.
Masci said that Americans are nearly divided on the issue.
It's gone from a clear majority against same-sex marriage to essentially a divided country on this issue, Masci said via satellite.

a sentiment by someone much more interested in a civil society...

We must remember that any oppression, any injustice, any hatred, is a wedge designed to attack our civilization." FDR

(11,550 posts)3. Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry oppose gay marriage also. They also signed NOM's marriage pledge.
Following her logic, how does Maggie explain the lack of success in their campaigns?

Nor is reason or sanity.
