Worlds Aids Day 1 December 2025. I remember you

James G- my dear high school friend, we were part of the odd ones in high school
In 1975. 10 yrs on, I was the XRay tech on duty when you came into because you could not breathe in 1984, your chest film had the ground glass appearance& and the doctors did not know then what it meant then

The guy with the most beautiful brown eyes, I never learned your name.

Rafel G, you were my & Dr B favorite patient. She was at a med ed class when you passed.
I went to your wake, your brother told your Mother who I was. We wept together.

Your warm, loving spirit and amazing musical talent were gifts to all who came in contact with you. Thank you for the music you played at our wedding, and thank you for being you.

You were forced to make a choice no one should ever have to make. That was wrong, and I'm deeply sorry for not being there for you as fully as I could have been.

I'm even more sorry that D and I lost touch with you after you left town. Because of that, we didn't learn of your fate until it was all over. Wherever you are now, please know that we both loved you then and always will. You were a bright and shining star, and your light was snuffed out much too soon.
