A Day in Our Shoes - Homeless LGBT Youth

The nominees for the 16th annual Webby awards were announced today and a web video from In The Life about homelessness among LGBT youth made the list.

"A Day in Our Shoes" tells one story representative of the estimated 1,500 homeless LGBT youth in New York City. The government funds just 200 beds to keep them off the streets.

any child, gay or whatever, being homeless.

Being gay makes it so much worse, because it breaks the heart of the child before they even have a chance to make something of themselves, as a few homeless teens actually do.

to have a small gay friendly audience here.

I know it's a few months old video, I'd appreciate a follow-up with Gov of NY and the Mayor being interviewed about this.
