This article made me realize why white men (young) commit most mass shootings. Why they are so violent. Why violence against women...

I'm only halfway through a you tube video that ties this subject (see linked pdf scientific study) to

democracy or lack thereof

authoritarian rule

why low status men voted for the convicted felon ( among other things they like his violent rhetoric)

Charlie Kirk: why a low status white male (a republican) murders a bombastic blow hard pod caster named Charlie Kirk, who was himself a fascist.

The you tube video I saw 1/2 of, also ties together what our American society does because of surplus males (for example, let the surplus males kill each, start wars to kill off surplus males, give surplus males life shortening jobs so they die early. And so on)

Anyway, if I can figure out a way to find and post said You tube video, I will update this.

Search for articles about Bare Branch boys (on edit: Family tree has branches. surplus males won't be able to add to the family tree, no sex for them equals a bare branch on the tree. I speculate.)

Read a bit more about how China's 1 child policy led to surplus males.

Women in America led to surplus males because we women decided to give up on even dating, much less mating, with males altogether. Hence the surplus males in America

Wars, of course top the list. Line from an old Chad Mitchel Trio song, The Sinking of the Rubin James, always plays in my head when I ponder this topic:

"Many years have passed
but still I wonder why
The worst of men must fight
and the best of men must die"

I also have suspicions about religions who require young men to go far away and evangelize and the ones who convince young men that they will have a lovely time in heaven if they strap on explosives and blow themselves, and others up.

Tamp down the head count of young males in a community/society and the older males get the girls. Yes, I am THAT suspicious about their motives.

Couldn’t figure out a way to put it into words that made sense, though.

War is bad, obviously. But sometimes long periods without wars also turn out bad?

This paper argues that a largely overlooked wellspring of national insecurity is exaggerated gender inequality. The authors contend that security scholarship is theoretically and empirically impoverished to the extent that it fails to inquire into what the relationship is between violence against women and violence within/between socities. Specifically, the paper addresses sex ratios in Asia– specifically in China and India– and how those sex ratios impact broader issues of governance and the conduct of foreign policy.

7. Are there really surplus males?

I think that the existence of incels is largely due to the fact that the sense of entitlement that society gives them results in them being horrible human beings that no one wants because they refuse to make the effort to act in ways that would make them desirable as partners.
In short, many women have decided that putting up with shitty behavior is not a price worth paying just to have a man.
