Sonia withstood vicious criticism for her advocacy of The Equal Rights Amendment. She was excommunicated by the Mormon Church for speaking her conscience. I have not thought about her in a long time. Thanks for mining those profound quotes.

about her a lot when the mormon moron was running--thinking of all she, and so many others, faced from that organization. she was, and is, as you said, courageous. I was so glad I had the opportunity to meet and talk with her several times.

It's trajectory from the seventies in an ascending line but the pendulum has swung back toward the dark ages with the threats on choice. Thank you for all your efforts in bringing us interesting stuff.

Somethings are better for women in general I think. We've come a long way, baby.

generation, because all our actions, achievements, etc., get buried, ignored and eventually forgotten. perhaps this time, that won't happen. I am just doing a little bit to help that along.
