Or better still married congressional members wives and birth control?
Why does it always seem as though the only people using birth control are single?

(85,373 posts)Married women were under the control and authority of their husbands (in theory). They have a license for sex, and legal protection from the State.
The single ones are unprotected from the State, unlicensed fornicators! Their fathers certainly wouldn't want them out sleeping around!
Besides, the married ones have money and health insurance coverage (--at least, in theory). They don't need any public resources.
in case there was any doubt. The law is an elderly, white male ass....from the 1600's.

(12,158 posts)A much higher proportion of married than of never-married women use a contraceptive method (77% vs. 42%). This is largely because married women are more likely to be sexually active. But even among those at risk of unintended pregnancy, contraceptive use is higher among currently married women than among never-married women (93% vs. 83%).[2]

RWers don't much like Guttmacher because of the truth they tell in their reports simply by collecting data.
