Despite being the most watched soccer game in US history, CNN's report http://money.cnn.com/2015/07/07/news/companies/womens-world-cup-prize-money/ on the World Cup pay gap indicates that the U.S. Women's World Cup team will only be earning $2 million. This amount pales in comparison to the $35 million collected by the winning German men's team of the World Cup last year. Even when standing in 11th place last year, the U.S. men's team earned $7 million more than the winning U.S. women's team this year.
