Christian Union Bans Women From Speaking At Meetings

"A university's Christian society has banned women from speaking at events and teaching at meetings, unless they are accompanied by their husband, it has been revealed.

The Bristol University Christian Union (BUCU) had originally decided women would be allowed to teach at meetings after their international secretary resigned in protest, but the group has since changed its policy.

The Huffington Post UK has seen the email sent out by president Matt Oliver to all BUCU members which said: "It is ok for women to teach in any CU setting... However we understand that this is a difficult issue for some and so decided that women would not teach on their own at our weekly CU meetings, as the main speaker on our Bristol CU weekend away, or as our main speaker for mission weeks.

"But a husband and wife can teach together in these."

Oliver then warns the society members to "guard the way we all talk about it in the coming weeks, making sure we’re not gossiping".

4. When you study it, it's very much brainwashing

and even some Stockholm Syndrome. They are taught to fear and to accept being controlled so they will go to Heaven. Religion has been used for thousand of years by TPTB to control people, and women and children usually get the shortest end of the stick. It drove Andrea Yates literally insane, and taht insanity drove her to protect her children's souls by killing them. She didn't happen in a vacuum.

In the US alone, we have the FLDS, LDS, and many other Fundamentalist sects and religions.

Some people are willing to sell their souls to get a little power and privilege. Women who don't think that they can get power and privilege for themselves can get it if they are dutiful wives. Dressing it up in "for the Lord" and some Beauty and the Beast fairytales makes it easier to live in denial.

The lingering last vestiges seem have to do with the "lady parts" and who controls them.
