A good friend has MS. He is being treating by a PCP. What specialty of medicine

treat MS? He is getting worse and worse, barely walking or even making it out of bed each day. Hubby and I are alarmed and want to help.

Does anyone have any ideas about who should help him?

Diagnosis. A complete neurological exam and medical history are needed to diagnose MS. There are no specific tests for MS. Instead, a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis often relies on ruling out other conditions that might produce similar signs and symptoms, known as a differential diagnosis.Aug 4, 2017

Guidelines from the American Academy of Neurology recommend the use of oral cannabis extract.

Sounds like Neurologist should be involved, yank.

Although some MS patients only see their neurologist once or twice a year and are otherwise followed by PCP unless there are complications.

I don't have MS but I have been to a health boot camp at Dr McDougall's clinic in Northern Cal. I would highly recommend you go to this website and read the testimonials and articles/videos. Then I suggest you read about Dr McD. So that you can get comfortable with his credentials and experience.

Finally, I would share all this with your friend then he can call Dr McD's office.

Good luck.
