Bipolar disorder is a difficult illness to treat. I feel terrible for anyone who must live with this condition.

Unfortunately, many miss the "highs" and go off their meds and self medicate with alcohol. That actually works for a while then it stops working and they're bipolar alcoholics.

It's all through my extended family.
