After the Omicron variant's peak it declined and reached its new plateau, which is high compared to the low plateaus of past waves. Countries like S Korea, Germany, etc are seeing new highs this week.

Is that variant more or less contagious than previous variants? Is it more or less deadly? Those are the two issues I'm concerned with. If we get one that is as contagious as Omicron and as deadly as Delta we are going to see a real mess.

I just read several articles on it and this seems to be the variant that my neighbor got at the end of Jan. He has long haul, was out of work for a month, had to go to the hospital for a few days and he was fully vaxxed and boosted.

13. I was looking at percentages instead of numbers of cases. I'm sure that the number counts lag

for each measured category depending on the time frames used to both report and aggregate the data. Also, each state has their own reporting standards and various reports don't always include the most recent numbers.

As with any scientific research, trending and tracking information is sometimes intended to provide loose representations and doesn't always focuses on a finite number values. ❤
