I have a new left knee! The experience exceeded my expectations

Replacement was at 10 AM, PT dude got me to the bathroom using my walker, took a walk around the hall. 70 years old - being pretty fit (avid hiker and gardener) surely helped.

May get my other done in October!

I'm half a bionic DUer!

The most important thing is to do the therapy. If not, , scar tissue will reduce your range of motion. Good luck!

At 77 years old.

The secret to rapid recovery is to do the pre-surgery exercises to strengthen the area around the knee.

I used my walker a week, a cane 5 or 6 weeks only because my therapist told me to use it because people get out of your way, she lied, so I quit the cane.

My surgeon didn’t use a robot, said he was better than a robot.

You have to look really hard to find my scar, No fancy creams, a cheap tube of cocoa butter.

Glad to see you handled it well.

everyone i know who’s gotten it done in the last few yrs has had great results and a rapid recovery.
i have a hip that is starting to bark at me. not ready yet, but i wont hesitate when it gets to that point.

otoh, my spine is melting, and there is little to b done surgically. they can fix the worst disc or 2 now, but it will just set off a chain reaction. le sigh. stuck w pain shots. had 1 last week and seems like it helped. question is how long it will last. they’re not fun, either.

PT at home starts tomorrow.

So far a good experience. Issue - I am not good with being waited on. I am better being the one that waits on.

My wife is being an angel, as always.
