80's. It was one of the products we were selling. One of the sales reps came around and as usual I rock the boat a little. I had tried it, liked it and had some questions. They had a deceptive advertising campaign, touting their fructose as all natural sugar. So I'm asking, it's not diet, it's sweet, so what makes this sugar so special? I just knew this couldn't really be some secret, healthier than anyone else's sugar, in their product. It really didn't make sense. Now it seems it was the same high fructose corn syrup everyone else was going to back then. I don't doubt that just the regular cane sugar that they used to use was actually better for us.

He lost almost a 100 pounds by abstaining from sugar...and keeping his carbs down....He has told me don't count calories or fat. Count carbs and eat no sugar.

It is hard as we in North America have grown up in the last 6 decades with sugar fed to us so readily.

Did you know that during WWII in America it was a very, very big deal to have a birthday cake.

Treats were a luxury.

I am sticking to fruits for snacks....Trying to avoid anything that comes in a box or processed.

Look at the food aisles of treats and cereal...and then look at who is shopping them.

I have never seen so many people who are overweight or obese.
