To the Ends of the Earth
I've become a big fan of Benedict Cumberbach and go out of my way to watch anything he is in. This three part BBC program takes place predominantly on a 19th century ship bound for Australia. A lot of colorful characters, a fair amount of action, and exceptional performances.

(9,696 posts)Really didn't think I would care much for it - Downton Abby was a solid 2 stars for me - but Sherlock Holmes is great!
There are only three episodes on streaming though ; (

To the Ends of the Earth is nothing like Downton Abbey. It is much grittier, with a fair amount of action and it takes place in the early 1800's. It is less about etiquette and society and more about survival on a broken down ship with an unusual cast of characters.
