I think Deadwood is probably the most realistic interpretation on how the wild, wild west truly was. It wasn't no Bonanza or Rifleman. I may have to revisit this series - one of HBO's best.

The Wu Tang drama is very good and heavy. Watch and you'll find yourself cheering for crack dealers (reformed).

I kept hearing things about Squid Game so I decided to watch the first episode. Started a little slow and the main character was annoying, but it somehow pulled me in. The violence and blood was rough to watch, but somehow I kept watching. Finished last night - what a f@cking trip.

it is a gorgeously filmed Korean TV series. It is in Korean with subtitles. The hotel is a stopping off point for recently deceased persons who have unfinished business before going to the other side.

The reasons for hanging around are very diverse: a woman who is waiting for a family who did her a great wrong (back in medieval Korea) to die out before she leaves. Another character was killed 70 years ago in the war and he is waiting for his much younger sister to pass on and join him before he leaves.

The "owner" has been with the hotel 1300 years; she committed a horrible crime and cannot move on until she has redeemed herself.

The manager is human but he can interact with all the ghosts.

Sixteen episodes. Each episode is over an hour long - I think 90 minutes.

Oh yes: the hotel owner is a gorgeous young thing with more outfits than Natalie Wood in The Great Race.

All the actors are quite good.

We really liked it.

The last 2 seasons were the Netflix originals and they did a great job.

I was surprised how it has stayed with me, emotionally. It definitely would not have had it ended with the 4th season.
