Black Earth Rising - NFLX

Black Earth Rising is a thriller that is fictional but based upon the story of the Rwandan Genocide of 1994 in which 800,00 Tutsi were killed in 100 days. It is an indictment of colonialism and post-colonial era in which the British do what they can to set things right.

I think it takes viewing a couple of episodes to get into the series (8 episodes). John Goodman (Michael Ennis) and Michaela Coel (Kate Ashby) star and both were excellent. It shows a view of the ICC (International Criminal Court) and shows that in many cases when we hear about wars, and conflict in third world countries there is usually an underlying reason and usually has to do with exploitation and greed.
