I have watched the first three episodes of Vikings

Vahala on Netflix I find it quite entertaining. I don't usually
like that type of thing. It beats 24/7 bad news. I also liked Young Wallander. I like the limited series.

2. I started watching Korean shows on Netflix to engage my brain elsewhere

I recommend the following. Some for fun and some for serious thoughts. When you have to read subtitles and watch the action and facial expressions, you get taken away from the bad news since you have to concentrate elsewhere.

I loved Navillera but you have to get past the screaming wife for the story itself. Also, try The K2 for political corruption and action; Chocolate for contemplation; Cinderella and the Four Knights for the best version of Cinderella that I have seen.

7. if you like Korean shows do not miss Hotel de Luna

It is a beautifully produced movie with a good storyline and cast. The female lead has more outfits than Natalie Wood in The Great Race.

The hotel is a transition point for souls who are not ready for the afterlife. Each of the spirits we meet has a different reason for hanging about - waiting for a loved one to arrive, waiting for the last generation of a family to die, seeking atonement for a horrible past transgression and so on.

It has 24 episodes.

3. Watched them all.

The acting was really questionable, but as an action thriller it's pretty good. Go Freydis.

You just gotta love the "my god wants me to kill you because you don't believe in him" approach to life.

Young Wallander - but I did enjoy the first series.

I couldn't imagine anyone other than Kenneth Branagh as portraying him . . . was pleasantly surprised.

5. Agree with your choice of movie watching..Young Wallander was entertaining..

and then Vikings Valhalla - great escape..now on to The Last Kingdom..into season 2, probably out of sequence..but also entertaining..

8. Vikings Valhalla was great! After finished The Vikings series, try The Norsemen

which is a straight up spoof of The Vikings.

Have not seen The Last Kingdom.

6. I've been playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla and just started watching the first Vikings series

It's cool to see all these characters from the video game in their (somewhat) historical context. And I just love Ragnar, Laegarta and Floki.
