just watched "Spies of Warsaw: on AMazon today.

It is good.

I read the novel several years ago. The author is Alan Furst and he has written eleven or twelve novels about espionage in WWII, including the runup to the invasion of Poland. These are not glamorous spy novels; they are quiet stories of everyday people doing brave things.
I love those books. THey are standalone so you can start with any of them.
