Scandinavian mystery fans: Netflix has Season 2 of the original Swedish "Wallander"

(Season 1 has shown on MHz Worldview TV) and two Danish thriller series called "The Eagle" and "The Protector." "The Eagle" did not have subtitles when I view it on my older Roku, but they show up just fine on the iPad.

Other non-American, non-English mystery series include "The Murdoch Mysteries" (set in 1890s Toronto), "Spiral" and "Crimson River" (French), "Taggart" (Scotland), and "Quiz from God" (Korea). Watch for "Proof: Prescription for Murder" (Ireland) to reappear.

On Hulu, you can find "Single-Handed" (Ireland) and "Verdict Revised" (Sweden), as well as more Korean dramas than you could ever have time to watch.

Thought it was great. Loved all the languages, and the fact that the actors spoke English flawlessly when English was incorporated. Plus, I learned how to access subtitles on my Apple TV.
