We've found a great series on Netflix

"Rake"--an Australian 4-season series about a lawyer who is, well, a rake. There are mysteries, absorbing plots, lots of sex, plus it's funny as hell. I really love it.

We found it after watching "Dr. Blake", another Australian series, about a crime-solving physician, which isn't nearly as good as Rake.

Unlike Hogarth's rake, Clever always manages to tap dance through the mine fields he's made. sarge43 Sep 2017 #5

Highly recommended. Start with the first season. He has a history.

It's such a well-done series, and it doesn't shy away from really painful situations and events.

For an Australian made crime series set in the latter 1920's Melbourne. Funny, sexy, and addictive.

There's going to be a movie (I contributed to the Kickstarter). I even have a Miss Fisher paper doll for which I've been making additional clothes. let's not go there...I love this show, and I've even read all the books by Kerry Greenwood.

and loved Nadine Garner as Jean so much that we looked for something else with her in it.

Hulu has the entire run (six/seven seasons) of "City Homicide", an Aussie police procedural. Like a lot of enjoyable procedural shows, the main character is the ensemble itself, bringing their skills and flaws together.

We called it the "Not Jean Show" and enjoyed it a lot.

Since in the last year we've been through this, Rake, Dr Blake, and Miss Fisher, maybe it's time to think about an Australian trip

was turning down a free trip to Australia when I was 18. Long story, but it is one of those DUH moments that youth makes.
Yes, I loved Jean's character also.
