Being a big Tim Roth fan I decided to check out Tin Star. You're right, the scenery was amazing, the acting well done but for me the plot was not superb. It was different, that's for sure and I did like that about it, but I was really unhappy with the ending. I won't spoil for others, but by the end I felt like the whole story just went off a cliff. I definitely don't need a cheery ending to like a series/movie but I guess I wanted a little more before the credits rolled. (I know that sounds so vague, but as I said I can't really explain without giving too much away)

Genevieve O'Reilly who played the wife was also one of the leads in Glitch, which was interesting.

Edit to add--I just did some reading on this series and see it has been renewed for a second season, so possibly it did not end the way I thought it did. So, I may have to revise my thoughts on it after all. I will definitely look for the next season to see how it goes.

Also wanted to add that Christopher Heyerdahl who plays a villain (again--see Hell on Wheels) is really excellent as a baddie. SO sinister, he can really underplay evil in such a creepy way)

All 3 became available Jan 1st.

Don't know how long it will be available. Often these very popular movies are on for only a month.

Watching GODLESS brought back fond memories from the New Mexico trip Feb. of 2017. The area from Trinidad, Colorado south of Taos, New Mexico is just mezmorizingly beautiful. The changes in terrain and colors capture your heart.

GODLESS was superb. Jeff Daniels played a villain with such convincing passion. Michelle Dockery puts to bed Lady Mary Crawley of Downtown Abbey. This role was a departure for her and she did it well.

I loved the Masterpiece Theater series she starred in, absolutely hated it when it ended.

Godless is so well done, can't wait to start watching more Sunday evening.

This is a great forum, by the way. So glad to discover it.

Makes a lot more sense to look for recommendations and critiques than waste a lot of time sifting through crap, hoping to get lucky, when time is really precious.
