Binge watched "Orange is the New Black", "Better Call Saul", and "Breaking Bad".
Of the three, my wife and I like "Better Call Saul" the best as the main character is so likeable even though he is a cad who bends and sometimes breaks the rules. It's quite interesting to see how many of the characters in "Breaking Bad" got their start.
"Orange is the New Black" is quite good although the most recent season was a struggle to get through. Thank God the prison riot is over with. The scene where women could get their pubic hair braided for 1/2 a Snickers bar was pretty damn funny.
Our one disappointment with "Breaking Bad" was ***SPOILER ALERT** Mike getting it.

(102,276 posts)one of the very best episodes of tv ever...
I think those who didn't watch Breaking Bad (at least the last season) when it originally aired may have missed the promos for the finale which featured this very fitting song (Line of Fireby Junip)--couldn't find the BB promo, but here's the song
Breaking Bad is not a show I wanted to watch over and over, but it was well worth the first time.

(7,522 posts)I think if you watched Saul first there would be too many spoilers for Breaking Bad. Plus part of the fun in Saul is seeig the characters come back to life.
But Saul could be good for setting up BB - if you don't mind knowing some things ahead of time in BB. Either way both are flat out brilliant tv. Only one on their level IMO is Deadwood.

(36,301 posts)As there are 'flash forward' scenes in Better Call Saul that wouldn't make sense unless you had watched Breaking Bad first.
There are also flash back scenes in Breaking Bad that set the stage for events you'll see in in Better Call Saul.

(10,098 posts)I super binged Orange, got a bit burned out but I finished. Watched breaking bad when it aired. Lost track of Saul because my FORMER cable company had it so screwed up where it would not show it on demand for very long. Isn't Netflix like a year behind on the series?
I would definitely recommend BB first before Saul.

(16,785 posts)Our road trip this year took us to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Lodged at Kirtland Air Force Base. Went to the Museum of Nuclear Science just behind the base on Eubank Avenue where some scenes were filmed and the name Heisenberg came from. When you enter the museum, there is the Chemistry tables.
The city tour that lasted 2 hours took us to the various sites where the series was filmed, many paces along the historic Route 66 or Central Avenue. Of course, I bought my son some BB memorabilia and a Walter White T-shirt. Hated to have the series end, but it had to. I wonder what ever happened to Jesse Pinkman though.
Loved Albuquerque. Can't wait for another road trip next year.

(1,148 posts)I tell everyone who hasn't seen it that I think it's the best show in the history of television. It stands up to repeated viewing, too.
Better Call Saul is brilliant. I'm so frustrated at getting people to watch it, I guess it's too "offbeat" for some people.
AMC has put out loads of good shows. I wish people would check out the other shows that are advertised when "Walking Dead" airs. "Humans" is fantastic and I think you can get it on Amazon. Season Three is coming back in the fall.
