There are days here on DU when all the political talk about that horrible orange man in the white house just beats me down, then I find an uplifting post like yours....thank you.

Oh...and most people do not give gratitude for ....Flush toilets and running water..

I went to something called .."Boy Scout Camp" about 60 years ago. guess what? no Flush toilets, and no running water. We lived in tents. ,Drew our own water each day, There was an outhouse for each group of about 50 scouts...and we took turns in cleaning the outhouse. We ate in a dining room that had running water..but we went on camping trips, and we had to make do with what was at the camp site. We stopped at sites that had water and outhouses. If you haven't tried it, it might teach you gratitude for................................."Flush Toilets and running water."

...And I love ..."air conditioning" I grew up without it, and the summers were and still are.."hot"..Today is September 17..and it is 90 degrees where I live..yes, I have the air conditioning going on full..It is about 72 inside my house where I am typing this. What a toy, typing on a computer, with the AC going on full. Oh well.................

5. July 4th, no chemicals clean & sober holiday

BBQs were an 'enhanced' event back when.

I still appreciate the flush toilet & running water & AC.💖💖
