I feel for the Ohio rape victim

I read about the amount she drank, her friends saying they told her to stop, friends saying she lied about things in the past, and these things seem similar to stories I've heard in the rooms. She was horrifically raped, traumatized, degraded, and her friends betrayed her. She may have been drugged without knowing it. I know too many others with similar stories and I'm having to stay away from the coverage and DU discussion.

I made peace with my past so I could share my thoughts about the Stubenville Rape case.
I'm only sorry that I could not do more.

Mistakes are not supposed to follow you all of your young life. Her mistake of underage drinking has been exploited into horrible shaming. I blame any media outlet that reveals her name, too. I hope the boys that did this have to deal with it for decades. She probably will.

Cally, I understand why we have to stay away from these discussions. Sometimes we need to protect our emotions. Please take care of yourself.
