What's for Dinner, Wed., Febr. 24, 2021

Seafood chowder and sushi. Arugula.

The seafood chowder had onions, diced potatoes, paprika, cumin, two bouillon cubes (laurel and paprika). White wine. Then saffron (a whole packet). Cilantro. Clams. Fish stock. Sauteed calimari, mussels, more clams, and squid went into the garlic oil, keeping it at very low temp, and then into sauce. Added shrimp.I lined the bottom of the bowl with shrimp and then zested 1/2 lime it.

We didn't make the sushi--just ordered it from the local sushi spot.

A bowl of baby arugula, just sprinkled with salt.

For dessert, ricotta-lemon cheesecake and a mug of spicy earth tea.

I happen to have phyllo sheets, feta, and fresh spinach, so why not?

I will likely have a salad too.

The RG outdid himself. I would think it would be difficult to time all of those different proteins in the same dish, and you got the saffron too. Tres chic!

It's Meditteranean-ish. Sauteed and then topped with fried onions and peppers, plus diced tomato, black olives, and lemon juice. I can't get over how good tilapia is, and I really want to try doing it another way, but I can't quit this recipe! It's a variation on a recipe by Dana Carpender, low-carb cook extraordinaire.

Made its own gravy.

Divine!

Side dishes were sauteed garlic spinach and steamed carrots.
