(10,434 posts)but my neighbor gave me some last fall, and DAMN it was delicious. If I ate more desserts, I'd probably have a quart container in my refrigerator at all times.
Now that I can look forward to dinner guests again soon, I plan to look up how to make that.
That same neighbor gave me a fifth of homemade limoncello a couple Christmases ago, and it was just as good.

(11,443 posts)I think it is super simple also.
Pretty much lemon zest infused vodka and simple syrup. I can sip on a shotglass of that right out of the freezer and that's all the dessert I need.

(32,611 posts)at a British import shop. The gentlemen behind me asked me what I did with it. I told him I put it on a bagel with cream cheese. He came unglued telling me I should not mix my ethnic foods. He was serious. So, I decided to upset him a little more and told him I also use it instead of grape jelly with peanut butter. I really though he was going to throw up.
btw - I still use it with peanut butter on white bread and on a bagel with cream cheese.

(10,434 posts)I've never considered anything lemony with peanut butter. Next time I have some, I'll try it.
I bought some strawberries and dipped them in the lemon curd. That was pretty good, so I got out one of those individual Jello chocolate pudding cups and put some of that on the strawberries also. That was really good.

(4,616 posts)I once worked at a place with a fantastic Sunday brunch. The item I bribed the back waiters to snatch for me were little shortbread tart shells filled with lemon curd and topped with a couple fresh berries. Sooooo good, and small enough to pop a whole one in your mouth. That was also good for stealth- Chef was crazy mean about us eating anything prepped for the brunch. There were vanilla custard ones, too. Yum.
Can you share the recipe?

(22,270 posts)I used it to make a salted caramel buttercream for a chocolate cake. My husband did the fly-by with a spoon, apparently because I just turned around and it was gone.
