Sigh. I'm a happy camper because I bought dinner from the Polish deli.
Stuffed cabbage roll. These rolls are about 3 1/2 inches tall and stuffed full of Polish goodness, ground beef, rice, seasonings. Baked with tomato sauce over the top.
Then two scoops of mashed potatoes with gravy.
Cabbage salad (not slaw).
Cherry kombucha.
And for dessert, a chocolate bar with filling--cappuccino.

(658 posts)The cabbage rolls sound great. I'm jealous. Wish I lived in a city with as much diversity to have a polish deli, or a Jewish deli, or any other deli outside of the Piggly Wiggly actually. We do have what's known as the New Yorker Deli, which is a great sandwich shop, but probably not quite what you're used to.
Cabbage rolls, stuffed bell peppers, porcupine balls... all right up my alley.
