What's for Dinner, Thurs., Sept. 16, 2021

I am going to my friend's house and we are having Chinese and watching "Only Murders in the Building" on Hulu. Tonight will be episode 5 . If you have Hulu and can watch it, it is extemely funny! Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez are into crime podcasts and are trying to solve a real murder that happens in their Manhattan apartment building.

I'm taking two kinds of Chinese dumplings--shrimp and also chicken with cilantro. Hoisin sauce, of course. I already tried them in the air fryer and it works, however, I'll be using sesame oil to spray them. In addition, I bought a couple different kinds of tea biscuits since we are both tea drinkers. I have some with cranberries in them and another type that are orange. Also coconut.

She is in charge of getting the noodles, which will be sesame or peanut noodles, plus some type of soup like won ton.

Just in case you're interested in checking out this series: Only Murders in the Building

It is on my watch list...am waiting for my husband to get home from a trip this weekend and then we plan to dive in to that series.

It's just my kiddo and me this week so we typically have foods that the hubs doesn't love. We're also have Asian food tonight. I'm wok frying tiger prawns and serving them with spicy chili garlic sauce on a hand cut wheat noodle that I'm addicted to. Salted cucumber salad on the side.

pan-fried boneless chops w/ sauteed mushrooms and onions
steamed zucchini, yellow squash and carrots
sliced tomatoes
applesauce

There's ice cream in the freezer, but honestly, I'm full. I don't imagine I'll be eating anything else tonight.
