(1,451 posts)Were at our daughters house and she and hubs are installing a ceiling fan on their covered porch. My son-in-law, granddaughter, and our new corgi pup are running and playing in the yard. Im drinking red wine and loving this simple life 🤗

(24,253 posts)so I've been doing all the cooking. Tonight I took a can Of Bush's baked beans original flavor dumped it in the pot and went to work on it. Without measuring anything, I sliced up two pineapple sausages from Costco (these are really good) and put them in a pan with a little bacon grease and browned the slices. Dumped those in the pot with a few slices of leftover cooked bacon.
I added, mostly in small amounts, maple syrup, molasses, yellow mustard, Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, brown sugar and bourbon. Simmering now. I'm tempted to dump in some crushed pineapple, but not sure yet.

I used Tabasco Chipotle. More taste, less heat. YMMV
