I took a paint scraper to my cast iron griddle. That peeled the buildup right off. As clean as I've

ever got it. That was an old crappy scraper too. I ordered a two pack of new ones and now one is my dedicated cast iron scraper.

I only ever use cooking spray on that griddle normally for eggs and pancakes. I haven't tried t on m frying pan yet, but I suppose it will do a good job on it too.

Never use cooking spray, never have buildup, never have to use more than a rag and a corner of my fingernail to clean it. No soap, just warm water. Wipe dry and put it up.

I do use oil, butter, or bacon grease on it, depending on what I’m cooking.

and recipes galore. You want it seasoned, just like a cast iron pan.
