What's for Dinner, Thurs., Nov. 4, 2021

My homemade golden squash-apple cider soup with roasted chicken sausages on the side. In addition to the sausages, I roasted shishitos, which I will have on the sausage and also on a tortilla with cheese.

I grew the squash.

Dessert: my girlfriend gave me an almond horn. Reward for feeding the bullgod. I mean bulldog.

The almond horn is partly dipped in chocolate. Decaf.

From Chuy's Mexican Restaurant: 2 cheese enchiladas, 1 chicken enchilada, refried beans and rice. Enough for 2 meals at least. I was sick of my cooking and leftovers, and so I splurged.

Pizza I've found more time saving techniques. Metal pan for shorter cooking time, mentioned before. Now I add a bit more water to the dough, more like biscuit dough, then instead of spending 5 minutes trying to spread it into the corners of the pan, I just flatten it irregularly, topped with thin sliced Roma tomato. Slices instead of sauce means it doesn't need raised edges and holes don't matter. Topped with mushrooms. Still add spices. Flavor is about the same, even without garlic. So less time perfecting crust shape, and no time to make sauce.
