Broccoli rabe with sausage, cooked with garlic and olive oil.

Beet salad with goat cheese and toasted walnuts.

Dessert: Trying to come up with a fruit dessert using blueberries. Haven't figured it out yet, though.

1. Onions

mushrooms, pork, lettuce on a whole wheat roll.

Donut for desert. 4th today. That's what happens on donut day.

Also scorched towel. Tried to create a snood around the pot on the smoothtop. Thought it would trap heat and heat the pot faster with less electric. Aluminum next experiment.

2. Birthday dinner.

Scallops and bacon, asparagus with a balsamic vinegar and Dijon glaze. Triple lemon Bundt cake. White wine chased with a little bit of Bushmills Black label. Turned 70 yesterday. Shared this with a friend who is having the week from hell. We ended up pretty happy. Her pup was happy because he got some extra bacon.

Small green salad with sliced tomatoes and red onion rings topped with blue cheese.

Homemade chicken soup.

Fresh French bread with butter.

Chocolate chip cookies for dessert.

Got my annual flu shot and a pneumonia vaccine today. Can barely lift my left arm 😟
