While I was out and around, I stopped at the new location of a well known deli here for a corned beef sandwich to take home. This place is known for sandwiches that are about five-inches high. I ordered corned beef and Muenster with mayo and coarsely ground Dijon. It has tomatoes, lettuce, and onion on it, too. It's so big I'll save half for tomorrow.
Chips and bread & butter pickles to go with it.
Dessert will be some black grapes. Hot decaf tea.

I'll heat up some frozen broccoli to go w/ it.
We still have pie and brownies left if we want dessert.

(9,581 posts)New England dinner tonight - corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots. I added onions. All in the instant pot.
My goofy son misunderstood me on the phone (they always come for lunch one day of the weekend), so they showed up and had already eaten! So they had a few bites, and I sent the rest home with them. Granddaughter, who is 9 yo, isn't a fan of cabbage or corned beef, had some fried butterfly shrimp and French fries.
Ah, kids ... even when they are 53 years old, some things never change!
