He said, "Some days, you are going to have raw meat and raw vegetables, and if you want to eat, you had better know how to cook." The first thing he taught us was bechamel sauce, of all things.

From the beginning of our marriage, I did the cooking and a lot of the cleaning. My wife could cook, but to her it was a chore, while I enjoy doing it.

My husband loves to cook. He looks on it as an artform. I cook because I'm hungry and want to eat. It's not something I enjoy most of the time.
