Cajun style and pan-fried. It’s a household favorite!

Roasted mini potatoes and steamed green beans to balance the fish.

Apples for dessert.

1/2 carrot, small sweet potato, donut.

I went shopping today. You all love my tales of shopping, don't you? In Walmart, I bought 2 small Roma tomatoes. I use them for quick pizza sauce, and already had 3 more in the fridge. She rings up the order, and I do watch the items and tallies. The 2 tomatoes, at $1.28 a pound, ring up at 2.98 pounds for $3.81. She didn't notice a thing. I complained to her, she took them out of the bag, voided the amount and proceeded at $.41. The bananas were 2.97 pounds, but she and I have no idea how the bananas, which were rung up a few items down, became tomatoes. So ............ pay attention at the checkout! There are so many miscues at Walmart, Giant, Grocery Outlet. Personally I think I'm going to self-checkout.

Tried something a little different. Didn't use potatoes or carrots. Used sliced leeks & turnips instead.
Also, used shallots, pearl onion, scallions, portobello mushrooms, and green & yellow bell peppers.
Marinated the cubes of sirloin in red wine & garlic for about 3 hours. (Used nearly 8 ounces of pinot noir.)
Seasoned with garlic, paprika, white & black pepper, nutmeg & salt. (Added a pinch of raw sugar too.). Added enough corn starch to get a very rich, think sauce.
Served over egg noodles.
Have enough for 2 days.

did a show of techniques and he did Beef Bourguignon as his specialty. He said that having a lot of space in the pan when browning the beef is crucial.
