Made up a pot of cauliflower-cheese-potato soup.
Bratwurst from the Polish deli.
Arugula, just to munch on, for a side dish. Not really a salad, just a spicy accompaniment.
Dessert: sliced apples and cheese.
Orange tea.

(68,552 posts)medicine at three different places. He is on back on Oxycodon as he can't do much therapy without pain pills they gave him three days worth after surgery which is ridiculous... seven-hour surgery, spinal fusion with rods...we had no aftercare the so-called people who were supposed to make sure we knew what to do at home never showed up...so I read everything I could on the internet after requests went unanswered. Hubs said the doctor wants him to 'wean' himself from Oxy...he has had all of 12 pills as of today his surgery was two weeks ago on Thursday...just wait until Monday and I get to speak to that doctor.
In the meantime, we signed him up for medical marijuana online with an online doctor as none of the health organizations here will prescribe medical marijuana even though it is now legal in Ohio. This should help with the pain as he recovers. He hates opioids anyway. I was planning a trip to Michigan which is easier and cheaper but hubs begged me not to because if I get arrested who will take care of him? It would have been a one-day trip. We went with Ohio medical in the end...wasn't hard so far.
I actually ate out today at a restaurant called 56 Kitchen... a small place almost a bar but with first-rate food. They make the best chicken wings I ever tasted so I had those as an appetizer and salmon with mashed sweet potatoes, and roasted cauliflower with tahini sauces. I had a salad which has spiced pear, creamy feta, and all sorts of delicious things...including Ohio fresh lettuce and blueberries too. for dessert, I went to the little flowers bakery also in Solon and bought gluten-free macaroons and raspberry cream brownies...also gluten-free. What a feast! I brought some wings and dessert back for hubs. He had Chinese via Uber Eeats with a coupon it was $8.00 plus tip. We always tip well...so more for the tip than the food!
